MOBILE PHONE - I AM LOST WITHOUT IT, ARE YOU?
You probably haven't seen anything from me on Instagram in the last couple of days.
Here is the reason why.
Two days ago I have dropped my phone on the kitchen floor. I picked it up, sent a text to my husband and thought nothing more of it. It was only when my phone whistled, telling me that I have a message, I realised that the screen was blank !!! Aaaaa I screamed, my phone is broken! I panicked thinking "my whole life is on this phone, I don't even know my husband's number because it is in my phone" What do I do now ?
Thankfully my friend popped in for a cup of coffee and I asked if she had my husband's number in her phone, she didn't. But then we thought of a mutual friend that would have it. By now I am sweating and having heart palpitation lol. Anyway our friend text my visiting friend my husband's number (are you following ?)and I could call him from my home phone. Yes , yes I am not going to die, I can communicate with my husband !!! I cried telling him about my disaster; " what am I going to do, my photos ,all my contacts, MY INSTAGRAM!! NOOOOOO.. Paul (that is my husband's name) the hero that he is, calmed me down and assured me that I will have my replacement in a day or two, he will take care of it. I love him, I love him I L.O.V.E H.I.M- my knight in shining armour will save me from lonely, instagram-free life, a Currier will be delivering my new phone tonight!!!
So as I am sitting here, writing my first ever blog post, I am thinking how ridiculous it is that we rely so much on our mobile phones. Technology is great and I enjoy it very much but when it goes wrong it is like the end of the World (well not exactly but you know what I mean) From now I am going to write all the phone numbers in my address book- the old fashioned way. I know you can back up your contact list on your computer, but what if that goes wrong as well?
How do you feel about your mobile phone ?
